*TIMELINE OF THE MAIL NOTIFICATION ORDINANCE
The adoption of mail notification is the direct result of a draft ordinance made by some of our 3DCC, Inc. members.  In 2007, 3DCC, Inc. adopted the draft mail notification code and presented it to Commissioner Randy Stamey.  The draft was enhanced and added to the proposed Unified Land Development Code (ULDC).  In 2008, the Zoning Advisory Board (ZAB) removed the mail notification from the proposed ULDC.  With a request from 3DCC, Inc. and with the help of Commissioner Stamey and Ray Gibson, Director of the Planning and Zoning Dept., the mail notification procedure was added back to the ULDC; although, in a weaker version.  We appreciate Commissioner Stamey's and Ray Gibson's assistance in getting the mail notification procedure approved by the BOC.
